Ms. Youngberg is a Member of Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell, P.L.C., and has been associated with the Firm since 1996. After receiving her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, Ms. Youngberg served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Alan Highers,
Judge of the Tennessee Court of Appeals. In law school, Ms.
Youngberg served on the Law Review, was a member of Moot Court, and the recipient of three American Jurisprudence Awards, as well as the A. Kemp Stallings Scholarship and the Memphis Auxiliary Scholarship.
Ms. Youngberg practices in the areas of
healthcare law, corporate law, and mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Youngberg provides general business advice and services
to a number of business clients, which services include contract
drafting and review, advice regarding corporate governance, and
related matters.
Ms. Youngberg maintains a diverse health law practice counseling physicians, physician groups, institutional clients, and other types of healthcare providers on a variety of healthcare matters, including fraud and abuse laws (such as Stark, false claims, and anti-kickback laws), compliance issues, healthcare privacy (HIPAA), fee splitting and corporate practice of medicine limitations, and negotiating and drafting numerous types of healthcare contracts. Ms. Youngberg advises clients in the development of medical practice networks, joint ventures, physician practice management companies, management agreements, physician and other employment agreements, and healthcare organizational documents.
Ms. Youngberg has represented clients in a variety of
business transactions involving the sales and acquisitions of
stock and assets of businesses, formation of businesses such as
corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies, and
drafting and negotiating joint venture, shareholder, and
partnership agreements. Ms. Youngberg has advised clients in the
area of intellectual property, such as trademark, trade name, and
copyright issues.
Ms. Youngberg is a member of the Firms Business Law Practice Group and the Malpractice and Healthcare Practice Group.
Ms. Youngberg is a member of the Jackson-Madison County Bar Association,
the Tennessee Bar Association,
the Jackson Rotary Club, and the American Health Lawyers Association.
She is a member of the Board of Directors of the
Jackson-Madison County Bar Association, a member of the
Executive Council of the Health Law Section of the Tennessee
Bar Association, and a former member of the Board of
Directors of C.A.R.E. Ms. Youngberg is pro bono
counsel for the Health and Healing Clinic.
Ms. Youngberg has been licensed by the Supreme Court of Tennessee since 1995.
