Mr. Sanders is a Member with Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell, P.L.C., and he concentrates his civil defense practice in the representation of professionals and the healthcare industry across the State of Tennessee. He has handled medical malpractice cases in Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Jackson, and various other cities throughout the State of Tennessee. He maintains a broad spectrum civil practice primarily dedicated to the areas of medical malpractice defense and professional liability defense. His clients include physicians, hospitals, medical clinics, dentists, nurses, other medical providers, and attorneys. Mr. Sanders is a member of the Firm's Malpractice Practice Group.
Mr. Sanders is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Tennessee, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee.
Law & Politics Mid-South Super Lawyers magazine has named Mr. Sanders a "Rising Star" in the area of Medical Malpractice Defense. Mr. Sanders is a graduate of the Tennessee Bar Association's Leadership Law Program, which is an invitation-only training program that equips lawyers to serve as leaders in their profession and communities. Mr. Sanders maintains a Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating of BV-Distinguished (Very High Legal Ability and Ethical Standards).
Mr. Sanders is a member of the Jackson-Madison County Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, and the Defense Research Institute. He currently serves as President of the Jackson-Madison County Bar Association and fomerly served as President of the Jackson-Madison County Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division. He is also an adjunct faculty member at Union University where he teaches Medical Ethics and Legal Aspects of Healthcare Administration.
Mr. Sanders received his Doctor of Jurisprudence, with high honors, from the University of Tennessee College of Lawin 2002. In law school, he was a member of the University of Tennessee National Moot Court Team, a member of the University of Tennessee Law Review, and a member of the University of Tennessee Moot Court Board. Prior to joining Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell, P.L.C. in 2003, Mr. Sanders practiced law in Knoxville.
