Ms. Dexter  began her association with Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell, P.L.C. upon receiving her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2000.  In law school, Ms. Dexter was a member of the Tennessee Law Review and served as Lead Student Materials Editor.

Ms. Dexter concentrates her practice in the areas of employment law litigation, (representing employers only), municipal law, education law and federal civil rights litigation. Ms. Dexter conducts internal investigations for employers and advises employers on issues concerning Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and other laws applicable to employers. She is a member of the Firm’s Employment Law and Civil Rights Practice Group.

Ms. Dexter left the practice of law for a brief period to gain more hands on experience working with employers and human resources specialists. She worked as a Program Management Advisor with Federal Express Corporation in the human resources department.During her time at FedEx she was responsible for advising management in FedEx’s nationally recognized human resources department and developing and monitoring employee relations’ processes.Ms. Dexter is SPHR certified and a 2008 recipient of the Federal Express Human Resources Award of Excellence award.With her diverse experience in employment litigation as well as human resources she is well versed in the area of employee relations.

She is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the National Employment Law Council and the Society for Human Resource Management. She recently served as a Chapter Monitor for the Third Cumulative Supplement to the Fourth Edition of the Employment Discrimination Law Treatise published in 2010.  She serves on the NFIB TN Labor Advisory Council and is a monthly contributor to HR Professionals of Greater Memphis magazine.  In her spare time she serves as a mentor and board member with Girls Inc. of Memphis. 
 
Ms. Dexter was admitted to practice by the Supreme Court of Tennessee in 2000. She is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court of Tennessee (Western and Middle Districts) and the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati, Ohio.
