Ms. Williams has significant experience in the areas of business transactions, commercial law, real estate law, creditors’ bankruptcy, estate and disability planning, probate law, and elder law. She handles commercial real estate closings and represents numerous banks in the structuring of commercial loans and the handling of workouts and bankruptcies. In addition, Ms. Williams has extensive experience in the formation of business entities, drafting agreements regarding the sales of businesses, and other business contracts. Ms. Williams administers estates and advises individuals on wills and disability issues, including Medicaid nursing home benefits. Ms. Williams is a member of the Firm's Business Law Practice Group.
Ms. Williams is a member of the Jackson-Madison County Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association. Ms. Williams has served on the Executive Committee of the Bankruptcy Section of the Tennessee Bar Association and the Board of Directors of the Mid-South Commercial Law Institute. She is currently a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Ms. Williams has received the Jackson-Madison County Bar Association’s Pro Bono Project Award and has served three terms on the Executive Committee of the Jackson Chamber of Commerce.
Ms. Williams was admitted to practice by the Supreme Court of Tennessee in 1985. She is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court of Tennessee (Western District) and the United States Bankruptcy Court of Tennessee (Western District).
